RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement and holiday support
• Maintain patient ratios of 2:1 for ICU patients and 4-5:1 for PCU patients
• Must have Medical ICU experience in large facility with comfort in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Work with advanced equipment including lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, and IV pumps
• Use Cerner documentation system
• Required to float to other units as needed
• Perform bedside shift reports (mandatory)
• Relief charge nurse expected to perform nurse leader rounding
• Assist providers with bedside procedures including chest tube insertion and intubations
• Advanced skills needed in ventilator management, critical care pharmacology (IV sedation, paralytics, vasopressors), advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and central line management
• Must be a critical thinker, flexible, and work well with others
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs
• No on-call requirements
• Unit has 10 beds with ICU/PCU overflow capability
