Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts starting at 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement (one weekend shift every two weeks)
• Required to work 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday
• First to float to other med surg units as needed
• 3 weeks of orientation: 1 week classroom and 2 weeks unit orientation
• Patient ratios: 1:5 for med surg patients, 1:4 for chemo/tele patients
• Work on all Med Surg Tele Units with 27 beds total
• Must have charge nurse experience from last assignment
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Manager interview required
• Scrub color: Navy
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Remote telemetry monitoring with monitor techs
• Must report within 30 minutes if put on standby call
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Strong central line experience required
• Must be comfortable teaching and providing compassionate patient care
• Care for general medical surgical patients, GYN, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, spine cases, joint procedures, and oncology patients
• Can accept pediatric patients over age 15
• Position blends charge nurse, clinical mentor, and manager responsibilities
• Provide on-shift leadership and serve as clinical resource
• Round on patients and address service or safety concerns
