RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend shifts preferred and required if working weekdays
• On-call required with approximately 15 call shifts per month (typically 5-6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift per 4-week period)
• 13-week assignment length
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Serve as patient advocate and circulator while being a resource for the sterile field
• Work with variety of OR beds and equipment
• Use Epic EMR system
• Experience needed in orthopedics, total joints, neurosurgery, and robotics
• Handle typical procedures including total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and Xi robotic cases (GYN, colorectal, general)
• Limited ENT, dental, eye, or plastic surgery procedures
• Required certifications: Alaska RN license, BLS, ACLS
• Experience as circulator preferred, scrub experience and CNOR certification preferred
• Facility provides scrubs
• Positive outlook and willingness to work with team members essential

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates an 11-room operating suite on the second floor of the main hospital building. The OR department maintains varying staff levels with an average of 8 RNs, 8 scrub techs, and 5 surgical support techs during day shifts, while night shifts operate with one charge RN and one scrub tech with call team backup. The facility specializes in complex surgical procedures and utilizes advanced technology including robotic surgical systems.
