RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week with potential for 48 hours per week
• 13-week assignment with potential extension up to 26 weeks
• Required to work every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• Expected to work at least one major summer or winter holiday
• Patient ratio approximately 6:1
• 17-bed neurology unit caring for medical and surgical neuro patients including Parkinson's, stroke, and lumbar cases (no trauma)
• Must have or be willing to learn charge nurse duties
• Will float to Med Surg and Progressive units as required by facility
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Neuro and stroke experience highly preferred
• Required certifications: Current RN License (eligible for Missouri licensure), BLS from AHA, NIH (can be completed at orientation)
• Work with EPIC EMR system and customary equipment including IV pumps
• Dress code requires black scrubs
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift and must be available entire week for orientation
• Up to 5 days of requested time off can be automatically approved in each 13-week period
• Must attend Neuroscience Nursing course as assigned by nurse manager
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required from November 1 - April 1
