RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratios: 1:4 to 1:5 on days, 1:5 to 1:6 on nights
• May float between PCU units or to med-surg floors
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Must have critical thinking skills, EKG rhythm interpretation, cardiac drip, insulin drip and heparin drip experience
• Peripheral IV skills required
• Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred
• Experience with BiPAPs, high flow oxygen, and multiple oxygen delivery systems needed
• Experience with stroke and post cardiac catheterization care required
• Experience with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tubes needed
• Work with equipment including BiPAPs, high flow O2, vapotherm, alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips, peritoneal dialysis, wound vacs
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Procedures performed: peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, dobhoff/NG tube insertions, central line dressing changes, troubleshooting wound vacs
• Patient experience requirements include hourly rounding on days, every 2-hour rounding on nights, AIDET protocols
• Unit offers self-scheduling with 4-week schedules
• Required uniform: Black scrubs

This medical center features a progressive care unit with 59 total beds across two departments, providing intermediate-level care for patients who require more monitoring than general medical-surgical floors but less intensive care than ICU.
