RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No call requirements
• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred
• Must have experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management
• Must pass ECG/Telemetry exam including reading and interpreting rhythm strips
• Failure of telemetry exam will result in contract termination
• May be required to float to other units based on competency level
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Eve + Day = 1 holiday)
• May be required to work additional shifts during schedule period
• Schedule can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• Provide care for patients with severe but non-life threatening conditions requiring moderately complex assessments and interventions
• Care for patients with general medical conditions including post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory issues
• Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and their families

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates as a Level II Trauma Center serving a 500-mile radius with extremely busy and fast-paced environment. The organization features an 800 in-patient bed hospital with comprehensive services including trauma care, stroke accreditation, and the region's only children's hospital. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including robotic surgical systems, advanced imaging capabilities, and specialized institutes for neurosciences and heart failure care. The Intermediate Care Unit consists of 18 beds focusing on patients requiring moderately intensive therapies and nursing vigilance in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
