RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 26-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on the 1st floor of the main building
• Patient ratios: 2:1 for general patients, 1:1 for pediatric patients
• Day shift: 1 supervisor with 7-8 nurses transitioning from day into evening
• Night shift: 2 nurses
• Must have 2 years of PACU or critical care experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs required
• Work with recovery room equipment and Meditech EMR system
• Provide surgical recovery care for high acuity patients including neuro, vascular, kidney transplants, GYN oncology, general oncology, and reconstructive plastic surgery patients
• Experience with PACU recovery of kidney transplant patients and TAVR patients preferred
• Handle typical post-surgical recovery procedures and monitoring
