RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• MUST HAVE PEDIATRIC EXPERIENCE - this is a mandatory requirement
• Care for patients on 9th floor (rehabilitation) and 11th floor (surgical and respiratory)
• Currently managing a mix of patients on all floors due to census variations
• Epic electronic health record experience preferred for charting
• Trach/Vent and high flow oxygen experience recommended but not required
• Rehabilitation experience recommended but not required
• Provide routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of pediatric patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only)
• Texas RN license or compact license required
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Temp to permanent position possible
