Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 AM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM
• Night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Weekend requirement of 4 shifts out of 4 week schedule
• Weekend shifts for nights are Friday/Saturday and Saturday/Sunday for days
• Work in 31-bed telemetry unit (11 private and 10 semi-private rooms)
• Maintain 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must be able to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms using Phillips telemetry
• Scrub color requirement: Navy blue scrubs, jackets, and undershirts (white or black undershirts also acceptable)
• Work with Cerner EMR system
• Floor-specific orientation includes 1-2 shifts with preceptor
• Travelers are first to float to other units including medical-surgical, ICU, or ER holds
• Must report within 30 minutes if placed on standby/call
• Expected to work in permanent staff holiday rotation (1 major and 1 minor holiday)
• Care for patients with diagnoses including post-pacemaker, hemodialysis, new onset atrial fibrillation, step-down from ICU, surgical patients, oncology with cardiac monitoring, strokes, and sepsis
• Block scheduling allowed if unit needs are met but not guaranteed
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
