RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Three twelve-hour shifts per week with weekends required
• 13-week assignment length
• On-call requirement: approximately 5-6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift per 8-week period (possibly 15 call shifts per month)
• Experience needed in Ortho, Total Joints, Neuro, and Robotics
• Patient ratio of 1:1 as circulator
• Must serve as patient advocate as circulator while being a resource for the sterile field
• Work with variety of OR beds and equipment
• EMR system: Epic
• Typical procedures include Total Joints, Multi-level spine fusions, variety of Xi Robotic cases (GYN, Colorectal, General)
• Limited ENT, Dental, Eyes or plastics procedures
• Required certifications: Alaska RN license, BLS, ACLS
• Facility provides scrubs
• Must have positive outlook and willingness to work with team members
• Experience as circulator preferred, experience as scrub and CNOR certification nice to have
• No floating requirements

Facility:

This healthcare facility features an 11-operating room surgical department located on the second floor of the main hospital building. The unit maintains modern surgical equipment and technology including Xi Robotic systems for various specialties. Day shift operates with an average of 8 RNs, 8 scrub technicians, and 5 surgical support technicians, while night shift maintains one charge RN and one scrub tech with call team backup. The facility specializes in complex procedures including orthopedic surgeries, spinal fusions, and robotic-assisted procedures across multiple specialties.
