Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Tele
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement (2 weekends per 4-week schedule)
• Holiday requirement for Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving (work 2 days and an eve or 2 eves and a day)
• First to float when needed - may float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on 49-bed telemetry unit
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract (80% passing score required)
• One shift of unit orientation provided
• Cerner charting system experience recommended
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Care for patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, post-catheterization, and total joint replacement
• Must have experience reading basic telemetry strips and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Experience with CVA and TIA patients preferred
• Total joint replacement experience required
• RNs required to interpret strips and sign at least once per shift
• Work with set-rate drips including Diltiazem/Cardizem
• Collaborate with telemetry/monitor techs, charge nurses, and nurse aides
• Self-scheduling used with manager approval for 4-week schedules
• 4 shifts cancellation policy (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
