Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
• Weekends are Friday/Saturday for nights and Saturday/Sunday for days
• Holiday requirements include 1 major and 1 minor minimum
• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:4 telemetry patients or 1:5 medical-surgical patients
• Care for 32-bed unit with all private rooms
• Manage acute/chronic medical conditions, post-surgical patients including bariatrics and total joints
• Handle stroke patients, urology, GYN, podiatry, and general surgery cases
• Monitor non-titratable drips and set rate Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin
• Read and interpret all cardiac rhythms using GE monitors
• No call requirements but may be placed on standby for low census with 30-minute response time
• First to float to other medical-surgical telemetry units, ICU, or ER as needed
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, Cerner experience preferred
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with navy, white, or black undershirts
• 1-2 shifts orientation with preceptor
• Must participate in bedside shift report, intentional hourly rounding, and medication teaching
• Strict attendance policy - punctuality required
