Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 31-bed telemetry unit (11 private rooms and 10 semi-private rooms)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must be able to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms using Phillips telemetry system
• Work with CPAP or BiPAP ventilators (per respiratory therapy)
• Weekend requirement: 4 shifts out of 4-week schedule (Friday/Saturday nights)
• Holiday requirement: work 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday per rotation
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs required (scrub jacket and undershirt must be navy, white, or black)
• Block scheduling allowed if unit needs are met but not guaranteed
• Must report within 30 minutes if placed on standby/call
• Travelers are first to float to medical-surgical units, ICU, or ER holds
• Floor-specific orientation: 1-2 shifts with preceptor
• Common patient types: post-pacemaker, hemodialysis, new onset AFib, RVR, stepdown from ICU, surgical patients, urology patients, oncology with cardiac monitoring, strokes, TBI, high acuity patients
• Use Cerner charting system
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
