RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on G7 floor at main campus facility
• 23 step-down beds and 16 medical surgical beds unit
• Patient ratios: 1:3-4 for step-down patients, 1:4-6 for medical surgical patients
• Day shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 4 PCTs
• Night shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs, 4 PCTs
• Work with equipment including lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable ventilated patients, and trachs
• Utilize Cerner EMR system
• Perform typical procedures including trach care, chest tubes, and wound dressing changes
• 2 years nursing experience required
• Experience working with trachs required
• Previous experience with Cerner preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Float to other medical surgical and progressive care units as needed
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs required
• Work 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts in a 6-week period
• Must demonstrate flexibility and high level of clinical competence
