Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Weekend shifts are Friday/Saturday for nights and Saturday/Sunday for days
• 4 weekend shifts required in a 4-week schedule
• Holiday requirements: 1 major and 1 minor minimum
• Patient ratios: 1:4 telemetry patients or 1:5 medical/surgical patients
• Must be comfortable with post-surgical patients including bariatrics and total joints
• Care for patients with acute/chronic medical conditions, stroke patients, and potential oncology patients
• Monitor non-titratable drips including set rate Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin
• Must be able to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms using GE monitors
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• First priority to float to other medical/surgical telemetry units, ICU, or emergency department
• May float to Mercy Downtown location (approximately 6.5 miles away)
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with navy, white, or black undershirts
• No call required but may be placed on standby with 30-minute response time
• 1-2 shift orientation with preceptor
• Must participate in bedside shift reports and hourly rounding
• Fast-paced unit with high admission and discharge volume
• Strict attendance policy - punctuality required
