Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement with 4 shifts out of 4-week schedule
• Weekend shifts for nights are Friday/Saturday and Saturday/Sunday for days
• Patient ratio of 1:4 on 31-bed telemetry unit (11 private and 10 semi-private rooms)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must be able to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms using Phillips telemetry system
• Work with CPAP or BiPAP ventilators per respiratory therapy protocols
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs, with navy, white, or black undershirts
• Floor-specific orientation of 1-2 shifts with preceptor
• Use Cerner electronic medical record system
• Must report within 30 minutes if placed on standby/call
• Travelers are first to float to medical-surgical units, ICU for telemetry holds, or ER holds
• Block scheduling allowed if unit needs are met but not guaranteed
• Care for patients including post-pacemaker, hemodialysis, new onset atrial fibrillation, ICU step-downs, surgical patients, urology patients, oncology patients with cardiac monitoring needs, stroke patients, and high-acuity cases
• Expected to work in permanent staff holiday rotation schedule (1 major and 1 minor holiday)
