Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week starting at 7:00 PM
• Self-scheduling system with flexibility to fill gaps and consider block scheduling
• Work every other to every third weekend
• Occasional holiday requirements
• 2 call shifts required per contract
• Minimal floating requirements - primarily to ER for tasks, rarely off unit
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4 without CNA or 1:3 with CNA support
• Work on 13-bed medical surgical unit on the second floor
• Care for post-orthopedic surgery patients, pneumonia, COPD, CHF, general surgical cases, and cardiac patients
• Manage titratable drips including insulin, Cardizem, and heparin
• Must be able to read basic telemetry with virtual monitoring support
• Work with respiratory equipment including nasal cannula, high flow, CPAP, and BiPAP
• 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Professional scrubs of any color required
• Epic EMR charting system
• Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility
