Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend or equivalent of 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Work in ICU and ICU-CV Recovery units with 24 beds (capacity to expand to 32 beds)
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Additional certifications preferred: IABP, CRRT, and ICP
• Must have Cerner EMR system experience
• Complete basic EKG interpretation test during orientation plus additional critical care assessments
• 2-shift unit orientation plus orientation to East and West towers for floating purposes
• Must be willing to float to any MedSurg/Tele units (travelers float first)
• Navy blue scrubs required (including jackets and undershirts must be navy, white, or black)
• Care for patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, AMI, ARDS, GI bleeds, CABG, TAVR, Impella, vascular surgeries, neuro surgeries, and CVAs
• Administer cardiac and vasoactive drips, conscious sedation, and other critical care medications
• Use Spacelabs monitoring system with 24/7 monitor techs available
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds
• Work with pagers linked to call light system and internal spectra link phones
• 30-minute break (clock-out) and three 15-minute breaks per shift per California law
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
