Description
Opportunity:
RN - PICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Maintain 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in 12-bed pediatric intensive care unit
• Weekend requirement of 5 shifts in 6 weeks
• Holiday requirement - expect to work at least 1 holiday during contract
• Must have 2 years of PICU experience required
• Must have EVD (external ventricular drain) and trach/vent experience
• Epic and Alaris experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS
• BSN degree required
• Care for patients with trach/vent, DKA, respiratory conditions, and surgical cases including trachs, g-tubes, shunts, hernia repairs, and seizures
• Titrate drips including propofol, fentanyl, and epinephrine
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Floating requirements include pediatrics for full assignment and mandatory patient sitter assignments
• Float to peds, NICU, and patient sitting as needed
• Any color scrubs permitted
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Up to 5 shifts in block schedule allowed if meets unit needs

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
