RN - IR

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts with 10-hour shifts every other weekend
• Rotating weeknight, weekend, and holiday call requirements
• Call response time of 30 minutes required
• Must work 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• First to float when needed to other campus locations (approximately 6.5 miles away)
• Assist Interventional Radiologists with minimally invasive procedures
• Position patients correctly for interventional radiologic procedures
• Assist in other modalities such as CT and ultrasound to support physicians
• Work with common procedures including biopsies, drainage, extremities, angiography, angioplasty, embolization, gastrostomy tubes, cryoablation, catheter/line placements, and nephrostomy
• Must be knowledgeable about procedures, equipment, and procedural sedation
• Required to pass Procedural Sedation competency and EKG exam
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Experience with Radnet & Merge Unity, Cerner EMR systems
• Navy surgical scrubs provided by hospital
• Minimum one week orientation provided by Lead RN
• BSN not required
