Opportunity:

RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts starting at 6:45 AM with bedside report
• Every other weekend requirement
• Rotate holidays with core staff
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2
• Float to all other Sacramento facilities as needed (first to float)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 2 years Neuro ICU experience preferred
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips
• Work with ventilators and telemetry monitoring
• 1-2 day floor-specific orientation with preceptor
• Use Cerner EMR system for documentation
• Self-scheduling system with manager approval
• Access to overtime and extra shifts
• Dress code: Navy scrubs with navy, white, or black undershirts; optional navy scrub jackets
• Care for patients with CVA, ICB, neuro surgeries, craniotomies, and post-interventional radiology procedures
• Assist with line insertions and ventriculostomies
• Must pass DYS exam through UNA within 24-48 hours of acceptance
• BSN not required
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

The facility operates as a Level 2 trauma center providing acute care services with 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support, including specialized ICU pharmacy services during day shifts. The unit utilizes modern technology and equipment to provide advanced neurological care with hospitalist and intensivist coverage available around the clock.
