Opportunity:

RN - ICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Must serve as charge nurse - designated charge position with no patient assignment unless necessary
• Patient ratios of 1:1-2 dependent on acuity, may flex up to 1:3
• 1:1 ratio for high acuity patients requiring CRRT, IABP, Impella, etc.
• 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule
• Must float within 60-mile radius zone including multiple facilities
• May float to any acuity level: ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units
• Schedule made by leadership for 6 weeks at a time with flexibility required
• 1-2 days orientation with preceptor
• Must have 2+ years of ICU experience and prior charge nurse experience
• First-time travelers need 3+ years ICU experience and Epic experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Must be comfortable titrating critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin
• Expected to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• May respond to codes and rapid responses throughout hospital
• Must assist with troubleshooting and managing respiratory needs
• Rare call/standby requirements for low census
• Any color scrubs acceptable
• Epic charting system
• BSN not required
