Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement with 4 shifts out of 4 week schedule
• Weekend shifts for nights are Friday/Saturday and Saturday/Sunday for days
• Required to work 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday per permanent staff rotation schedule
• First to float to other units including 2W MedSurg remote tele, MedSurg SW, ICU for tele holds, or ER holds
• May float between facilities under same license
• Must report within 30 minutes if placed on standby/call
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Work on 31-bed telemetry unit (11 private and 10 semi-private rooms)
• Must be able to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms using Phillips telemetry system
• Care for patients including post pacer, hemodialysis, new onset afib, stepdown from ICU, surgical patients, urology patients, oncology with cardiac monitoring, strokes, TBI, and sepsis patients
• Handle CPAP or BiPAP ventilation support per respiratory therapy
• Use Cerner electronic medical record system
• Navy blue scrubs required with matching jacket and navy, white, or black undershirts
• Floor-specific orientation includes 1-2 shifts with preceptor
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Block scheduling allowed if unit needs are met but not guaranteed
• BSN degree not required
