Opportunity:

RN - ICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Required to work 6-9 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule
• Must float within Zone 3 which includes multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius
• Float to various ICU units including MICU, SICU, TICU, CVICU and may also float to PCU/Stepdown and MS-Tele units
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-2 dependent on acuity, may flex up to 1:3
• 1:1 ratio for high acuity patients requiring CRRT, IABP, Impella, etc.
• Must have 2 years of ICU experience minimum (3+ years if first-time traveler)
• Must be comfortable titrating all critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin
• Required to read and interpret own telemetry strips
• Must assist with respiratory equipment troubleshooting and management
• Work with Epic charting system
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Any color scrubs permitted
• 1-2 days unit orientation with preceptor
• May be placed in holiday rotation
• Rare call/standby requirements for low census
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• Must submit time off requests prior to starting assignment
• Must maintain valid driver's license and housing within feasible distance for 60-mile float zone
