Job Details:

• Work 8-hour shifts: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Must be proficient in either Ortho/Neuro OR General/Robotics specialties
• Handle 25-30 cases per day on average across 12 ORs, 1 Endo Suite, and 1 Cysto Suite
• General/Robotics cases include pediatrics through geriatrics, cystoscopy, DaVinci XI for general/GYN/urology, ION robotic cases, open abdominal procedures, and endoscopic/GI procedures
• Ortho/Neuro cases include total joints (hips, knees, shoulders), sports medicine, arthroscopies, spinal fusions, cervical and lumbar cases, micro disc procedures, and cranial surgeries
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required with specialty-specific experience
• Must have experience with open abdominal procedures, GYN cases, DaVinci XI, and endoscopic procedures for General/Robotics track
• Must have 3 years of Ortho/Neuro OR experience for that specialty track
• RN scrubbing not required
• Weekend/holiday call requirements: every 3-4 weekends from Friday 3:15 PM to Monday 6:45 AM
• Weeknight call: 1-2 times per week from 3:15 PM to 6:45 AM
• Must be willing to work holidays in rotation with permanent staff
• Call response time: 15 minutes with 8-hour post-call reprieve shifts
• Must be willing to float to cross-train in other specialty cases or work as 1:1 sitter when needed
• Required certification: BLS
• EMR system: EPIC
• Orientation: 3-4 days hospital orientation, 4-5 days unit orientation, 2 buddy call shifts
• Scrubs provided
• Sleep room available for call shifts

Facility:

This medical center operates a comprehensive surgical department with state-of-the-art technology including DaVinci XI robotic systems, ION robotic equipment, and Stryker towers. The facility provides a family-atmosphere environment with dedicated OR technicians and charge nurses available for all shifts Monday through Friday 7 AM-11 PM and weekends 7 AM-7 PM. The department maintains a Level 2 trauma designation and focuses on delivering high-quality surgical care across multiple specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, general surgery, gynecology, and urology.
