Description
Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts
• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4 weeks
• Must have minimum 1 year of Trauma Level 1 experience (will consider 8+ months)
• Required to pass DYS exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts allowed)
• Must pass Day 1 orientation exam (pass/fail)
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion (pass/fail requirement)
• Maintain 1:4 patient ratio
• Float between 4 facilities: St. Joseph's Main, St. Joseph's Westgate, and 2 Free Standing ERs in Litchfield Park & Glendale (approximately 30 minutes apart)
• May be floated mid-shift and must have own vehicle for transportation
• 2-3 shifts floor-specific orientation required
• Work with Cerner EMR system and Phillips monitors
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Handle trauma, burns, chest pain center cases, and spinal cord injuries
• Manage 30-40 psychiatric holds and see 250-300 patients per day
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC and ATCN
• Dress code: Navy scrubs, natural hair color only, no facial piercings
• Men must be clean shaven for fit testing
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

This major medical center operates as a Level 1 Trauma facility with a comprehensive emergency department featuring 36 acute beds, 54 subacute beds, and 6 trauma bays. The facility serves approximately 88,000 patients annually and maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services. The emergency department is staffed with multiple physicians, midlevels, and anesthesia providers, and features specialized services including a chest pain center and spinal cord injury program with TBIN certification.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
