Opportunity:

RN - PCU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday requirement
• Nurse to patient ratios of 1:4-5, occasionally 5-6 on nights, with PCU level care overflow at 1:3
• Must have PCU experience and ability to read cardiac strips
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Care for adults and geriatrics with conditions including cardiac caths, EP studies, pacers, ETOH, COVID BiPap, general surgical with heart history, pneumonia, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, and sepsis
• Required to titrate drips including Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and low dose Dopamine
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips independently
• Floating requirements to all areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load, MS for full assignment, and some ER holds/boarding
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Two 12-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation (Friday and Saturday of first week)
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• 32-bed unit with telemetry monitoring and respiratory equipment including BiPap, trachs, and Airvo
• First travelers accepted
• 50-mile radius rule applies
