Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts with 36-hour guarantee per week
• 3 cancellations allowed per 13-week contract
• Work on 24-bed medical surgical unit with telemetry capability on all beds
• Care for adult patients only (pediatric patients assigned to permanent staff)
• Must be strong in neurology and cardiac skills
• 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• PALS certification preferred
• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:5 days, 1:6 nights, 1:4 pediatrics based on acuity level
• Float to all medical surgical units and ICU for overflow patients
• Use Allscripts (Sunrise) electronic medical record system
• Work with support staff including telemetry technicians, charge nurse, health unit coordinators, and patient care technicians
• No IV team - nurses perform IV procedures
• Hospitalist available in-house 24/7
• Respiratory therapist and pharmacy services available 24/7
• Scrubs required in any color except all black (scrubs not provided)
• BSN degree not required
• Work in Level 3 trauma center acute care setting
