Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU Neuro
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4 weeks
• Holiday work based on unit coverage needs
• May be placed on standby for scheduled shifts
• 2 years ICU experience required in large (450+ bed) facility
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• EVD (External Ventricular Drain) experience required
• Will consider 18 months of experience if coming from a Neuro ICU unit
• First time travelers accepted
• Patient ratio of 1:2 in ICU, 4:1 when floating to telemetry units
• Required to float between all ICU floors and all telemetry units
• Must have strong neuro assessment skills and ICP monitoring experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• 2 shifts floor-specific orientation
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Dress code: Any color or print scrubs (non-offensive), steel grey for neuro floors
• Natural hair color required, no facial piercings, men must be clean shaven for fit test
• EMR system: Cerner
• Equipment: Phillips monitors, ventilators available
• 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available
• Cancellation policy: Up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for shorter assignments

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
