Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU Neuro
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks required
• Holiday coverage based on unit coverage needs
• May be placed on standby for scheduled shifts
• 1:2 patient ratio in ICU, 4:1 ratio when floating to telemetry units
• Required to float between all ICU floors and telemetry units (first to float)
• 2 years ICU experience required in large hospital (450+ beds)
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• EVD (External Ventricular Drain) experience required
• 3-6 months travel experience preferred
• Must have strong neuro assessment skills and ICP monitoring experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation required
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (pass/fail)
• Must maintain sterile field competency
• Natural hair color required, no facial piercings allowed
• Men must be clean shaven for fit test
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Scrub color: steel grey for neuro floors
• Work with Phillips monitors, ventilators, Cerner EMR system
• 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available
• Care for patients with neurological diagnoses requiring critical care including craniotomies, brain tumor removals, brain biopsies, and complex spine surgeries

I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
