Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with options for 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:30 PM - 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement: Friday and Saturday for nights, Saturday and Sunday for dayshift
• Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 in a 30-bed unit (three 10-bed units)
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract (80% passing score)
• Minimum 1 year MedSurg experience required, telemetry experience preferred
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Care for surgical patients (hip/knee replacements, bowel resections, hysterectomies), medical patients (MRSA, C-diff, COPD, pneumonia), and telemetry patients (chest pain)
• May be required to precept nursing students
• Float requirements to Multi Care Unit, Pediatric unit, and West Campus MedSurg Tele
• Care for stable CPAP or BiPAP patients
• Standby rotation for low census situations
• Any scrub color allowed except camouflage
• Use Cerner charting system
• Must be willing to care for both MST/PCU patients
• No drip titration required
• Profile review and manager interview required
