Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Rotate holidays with core staff
• 2 years of ICU experience required
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips
• Experience with ventilators required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA)
• Dress code: Navy scrubs with navy, white, or black undershirts; optional navy scrub jackets
• Work with Cerner EMR system
• Bedside reporting required
• Self-scheduling system with manager approval
• 1-2 day floor orientation with preceptor
• First to float to sister facilities and MedSurg unit as needed
• Mid-shift floating to other facilities possible but rare
• Charge nurse responsibilities may be required
• Overtime and extra shifts available
• Care for primarily medical ICU patients
• Complete required modules before start (3-4 hours, non-billable)
• Must pass DYS exam through Relias within 24-48 hours of acceptance
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

This acute care facility features an 8-bed ICU with a horseshoe layout design that provides excellent patient visibility and workflow efficiency. The facility offers comprehensive critical care services with 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support, plus hospitalist or intensivist coverage. The ICU is adjacent to PACU and provides an ideal environment for ICU nurses seeking experience in a well-organized, supportive setting with modern equipment and technology.
