Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement with potential for additional weekends as needed
• Holiday coverage required when there is a need
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5 based on acuity using real-time acuity tools
• Float to like units between local hospitals (Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center) as required - travelers float first
• Must have minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Must be proficient with central lines, NG tube management, ostomies, drain management, and professional communication
• Experience with CBIs and foley management preferred
• Required to read telemetry strips with remote monitoring system
• BLS certification required
• No specific scrub color requirements - must be clean and professional
• Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, high flow, and occasionally BiPAP
• Chart using EPIC system
• No call or standby requirements
• No drip titration required
• 1 shift unit-specific orientation following hospital orientation plus 1 didactic day with educator
• Client may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

This medical center operates a 35-bed medical-surgical unit that serves as a Center of Excellence for Bariatric Surgery and handles multiple specialties including urology, colorectal, vascular surgery, acute care surgery, gynecological surgery, plastic surgery, and cystic fibrosis care. The facility specializes in complex surgical procedures and medical patients, with dedicated leadership coverage day and night including weekend on-call support. The unit maintains high standards with charge nurses who don't carry patient assignments and CNA support at 1:8-10 ratios.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
