Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Self-scheduling with core staff
• Weekend and holiday requirements equitably distributed with core staff
• Call or standby requirement twice in any one contract
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation required
• Must have 2 years of nursing experience with medical-surgical and pediatric experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Nurse-to-patient ratios based on acuity tool with maximum 1:5 ratio for medical-surgical
• Care for patients ages 0-100+ including post-operative orthopedic, ski trauma, fractures, total joint replacements, GYN surgical cases
• Experience with chest tubes, surgical drains, wound care, telemetry monitoring required
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Heparin and initiating pressors for critical patients
• Responsible for reading and interpreting telemetry, rhythm recognition, and measuring strips
• Must mix some medications and be comfortable with floating assignments as safety attendant
• Any color scrubs acceptable
• Use EPIC charting system
• BSN not required
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius of facility

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
