Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday or as needed based on unit needs
• 1:1 nurse to patient ratio in 18-bed unit
• Must have 1 year of experience with cardiovascular ICU patient population
• Care for open heart, complex thoracic and vascular patients
• Support patients with impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO equipment
• Handle complex cases from cath lab, structural heart program, EP lab, ER, and clinic
• Required to titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmic drips
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Work with all respiratory equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow
• Will float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must pass open book skills exam with 90% score during orientation
• Navy blue scrub color required
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• Driver's license required for distance verification
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove results in contract termination
• EPIC charting system used
• BSN not required

This Level 1 trauma center features an 18-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit specializing in complex cardiac and vascular procedures. The facility maintains 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage and supports advanced cardiac surgeries, interventional procedures, and critical care services. The unit provides comprehensive care for patients requiring mechanical circulatory support and advanced monitoring, with no certified nursing assistants requiring nurses to provide total patient care.
