Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts at 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM start times
• High acuity telemetry unit functioning as PCU/step-down level care
• Patient ratio of 1:4 with 34-bed unit capacity
• Weekend requirement: 2 weekends every 4 weeks
• Holiday requirement: work one major holiday and two minor holidays same as core staff
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Navy scrub color required
• Floor-specific orientation: 2 days with Cerner experience, 3 days without Cerner experience
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips independently using GE monitoring system
• May float to med-surg as needed (travelers float first)
• Primary nursing model - may not always have nurse aides available
• Handle common diagnoses including stroke patients, CHF, respiratory failure, diabetes, hypertension
• Manage non-titrating drips and heparin titration (no insulin drips)
• Care for post-operative patients and some post-cardiac catheterization patients
• Bi-pap ventilation experience required
• 30-minute response time required if placed on standby
• Cannot have second job - must prioritize travel assignment schedule
• No call responsibilities
