Description
Opportunity:
RN - OR
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (4x10 hour day shifts with call expectation)
• Rarely work overnight shifts unless night call team is on vacation or calls out sick
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience required, prefer 1-2 travel assignments
• Broad experience in all case types preferred
• BLS certification required
• Work in 17 surgical suites with average of 65 cases per day
• Handle diverse case types including pediatric specialties and trauma, general surgery, DaVinci robotic procedures, neuro-spines and cranials, pediatric scoliosis, orthopedic total joints and trauma, urology procedures, oncology cases, ENT, gynecology including C-sections, and bariatric procedures
• No scrubbing required for RNs
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Hospital provides grey scrubs
• Call requirements include 4 hours following scheduled shift on weeknights, 12-hour in-house day shifts for weekends and holidays (volunteers first, then once per month)
• 30-minute call response time required
• Minimal floating requirements, only to nearby surgery centers or possibly to other OR locations
• One week orientation including general and unit-specific training
• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility

This major medical center operates a comprehensive surgical services department with 17 operating suites handling approximately 65 cases daily. The facility specializes in a wide range of surgical procedures including pediatric and adult cases, featuring advanced technology such as DaVinci robotic surgery systems. The medical center includes an attached oncology center and provides 24/7 charge nurse coverage with dedicated OR technicians supporting all procedures.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
