Description
Opportunity:
RN - PCU Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating shifts will not occur more than weekly
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:4-5, occasional 5-6 on nights, PCU level care overflow 1:3
• Must have PCU experience and be able to read cardiac strips
• Care for adults and geriatrics with cardiac conditions, post-cardiac cath patients, EP studies, pacers, ETOH, COVID BiPap, and general surgical patients with cardiac history
• Required to titrate drips including Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and low dose Dopamine
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Floating requirements to all areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load, medical surgical for full assignments, and some ER holds/boarding
• Two 12-hour orientation shifts on Friday and Saturday of first week, working independently by Sunday
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Work with respiratory equipment including BiPap, trachs, and Airvo
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Travel experience welcome, including first-time travelers
• BSN not required

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
