Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Float Pool position floating between medsurg/tele and stepdown units
• Weekend requirements: Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday for days, Friday/Saturday/Sunday for nights)
• Required to work 2 Fridays per schedule
• Patient ratios: 1:6-7 on medsurg units, 1:4-5 on stepdown (1:6 if medsurg acuity)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with navy blue jackets if worn
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Must be comfortable titrating cardiac drips including Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin
• Work with patients on Bipap, Cpap, and High Flow oxygen managed by respiratory therapy
• Handle post-surgical, orthopedic, cardiac, stroke, and ICU step-down patients
• Floor-specific orientation: 1 shift with preceptor for medsurg, 2 shifts for stepdown
• Self-scheduling and blocked schedules allowed as long as unit needs are met
• Work into permanent staff holiday rotation
• Electronic medical record system: Epic
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
