Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts starting at 6:45 AM with bedside report
• Every other weekend requirement
• Rotate holidays with core staff
• May float between SICU (Surgical ICU) and TICU (Trauma ICU) depending on census
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 depending on acuity
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (TNCC preferred for trauma experience)
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips
• Experience with ventilators required
• Work with surgical patients including CEA, fem-pop, EVARs, laparotomies, and thoracic surgeries
• Handle trauma cases, CRRT, ECMO, and rapid infusers
• Common procedures include line placements and insertions
• Dress code: Navy scrubs with navy, white, or black undershirts
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Self-scheduling with manager approval, schedules available 4 weeks in advance
• May float to other Sacramento facilities as needed
• 1-2 days floor-specific orientation with preceptor
• Overtime and extra shifts available
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
