Description
Opportunity:
RN - OR
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM with rarely scheduled overnight shifts
• Minimum of four hours of call per week required, typically following a scheduled shift
• Call response time of 30 minutes required
• Weekend and holiday call requirements: 12-hour in-house day shifts, volunteers first then once per month
• Night call shifts may be up to 12 hours, volunteers first then 1-2 times per contract
• Variable days off with scheduling based on department needs, no block scheduling
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required, prefer 1-2 travel assignments
• Broad experience in all case types preferred
• BLS certification required
• Work with common cases including pediatric and adult procedures across multiple specialties
• Handle general, DaVinci, neuro-spines, pediatric scoliosis, orthopedic, urology, oncology, ENT, GYN, and bariatric cases
• Work in 17 operating suites with average of 65 cases per day
• Scrubbing not required for RNs, OR techs available
• EPIC electronic medical record system used
• Hospital-provided grey scrubs required
• Generally 1 week orientation including general and unit-specific training
• Rare floating requirements, may float to nearby surgery centers or other OR locations if experienced
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius from facility

This major medical center features a comprehensive surgical services department with 17 operating suites handling approximately 65 cases daily. The facility specializes in a wide range of surgical procedures including pediatric and adult cases across multiple specialties such as general surgery, robotics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, urology, oncology, ENT, gynecology, and bariatrics. The medical center maintains an attached oncology center and provides 24/7 charge nurse coverage to ensure optimal patient care and surgical team support.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
