Description
Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts at 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM with no block scheduling allowed
• Night shifts required with every other weekend requirement, may need to work additional weekends
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• No on-call responsibilities for travelers
• Required to float to Pediatrics and Postpartum units, including couplet care assignments
• Pediatric ratios are 1:4, NICU ratios vary from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on patient acuity
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Work with 22-week to term infants in Level 3 NICU with 30-bed capacity
• Handle high-volume sepsis, respiratory cases, premature infants, drug withdrawal babies, and syphilis cases
• Must be comfortable working with surrogates
• Strong IV skills required as there is no dedicated IV team
• Work with high-frequency ventilators, Draeger systems, Nitric Oxide, and Nava Ventilation
• Use Phillips monitors for telemetry with nurse interpretation of basic arrhythmias
• Operate Medifusion pumps transitioning to Alaris syringe pumps
• Cerner EMR experience required
• All MyJourney modules must be completed prior to arrival
• 2-shift floor-specific orientation provided
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS
• BSN degree not required but nursing license must be submitted

The unit features advanced technology including high-frequency ventilation, Nitric Oxide therapy, and specialized Nava Ventilation systems. The facility maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy support, pharmacy services, and neonatal nurse practitioners in-house overnight with neonatologists providing round-the-clock coverage for critical cases. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
