Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts starting at 6:45 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday rotation with core staff
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 2:1 in 8-bed TICU unit
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips
• Experience with ventilators required
• Report given at bedside
• Self-scheduling system with manager approval
• Overtime and extra shifts available
• First to float to other Sacramento facilities
• 1-2 day floor-specific orientation with preceptor
• Care for patients with motor-vehicle crashes, falls, and traumatic brain injuries
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds on day shift
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), TNCC, NIHSS
• PALS preferred but not required
• Trauma experience preferred
• Navy scrubs required with navy, white, or black undershirts
• Must pass DYS exam through UNA within 24-48 hours of contract signing (80% passing score, 2 attempts allowed)
• Two supervisory references required at submittal (one within 12 months, one within 3 years)
• Cannot have been directly employed by CommonSpirit facilities within past year
• Electronic medical record system: Cerner
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
