Description
Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts with 4 total weekend shifts required per 4 weeks
• Holiday shifts based on unit coverage needs
• Minimum 2 years emergency room experience required
• Must have at least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC and ATCN (ENPC not allowed to replace PALS)
• Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation with study guide provided
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion (pass/fail requirement)
• Maintain 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Float between 4 facilities: St. Joseph's Main, St. Joseph's Westgate, and 2 Free Standing ERs in Litchfield Park & Glendale
• Facilities are approximately 30 minutes apart and floating can occur mid-shift
• Must have own vehicle for travel between facilities
• Work in 36 acute beds and 54 subacute beds environment
• Handle 250-300 patients per day, approximately 88,000 patients per year
• Use Cerner EMR system and Phillips monitors for telemetry
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Navy scrub color required
• Natural hair color required with no facial piercings
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
• 2-3 shifts floor-specific orientation provided
• 50-mile radius rule applies

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
