Opportunity:

RN - CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour shifts: 6:45 AM-3:15 PM, 2:45 PM-11:15 PM, or 10:45 PM-7:15 AM
• Evening shifts with call included and every other weekend requirement
• 1:1 patient ratios in cardiovascular operating room with 12 general OR suites, 1 CVOR suite, and 1 hybrid room
• Average of 14 cases per day across all suites
• Weekday call required 4-8 times per 4-week schedule (self-scheduled)
• Call hours begin at end of shift until 7:00 AM next morning with 30-minute response time
• Weekend call requirements vary by shift: day shift every 6 weeks, evening shift every 4th weekend, night shift variable
• Holiday requirement: 1 major and 1 minor holiday in both summer and winter months
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• 3-5 years of experience required with travel experience preferred
• Must have trauma, orthopedic, and general surgery experience
• Common case types include orthopedic procedures, gynecology, urology, trauma surgeries, ENT, general surgery, vascular, neuro, and robotics (Da Vinci)
• CVOR cases include open heart, valves, thoracotomy, and trauma procedures
• No scrubbing required but preferred
• No floating required
• 2-3 shifts unit-specific orientation provided
• Night shift nurse works independently with one tech and must be very experienced
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Cerner Surginet EMR system used
