Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Work holidays integrated with permanent staff rotation
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity
• Float between ICU and CCU units, and possibly telemetry (1:4 ratio)
• Optional floating to ER with additional training provided
• First to float when census requires staffing adjustments
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, COVID vaccine
• Must complete EKG dysrhythmia course (advanced level)
• Navy scrubs required
• EMR system: Meditech for unit operations
• Charting system: Cerner
• Floor-specific orientation: 2-3 shifts on unit, additional orientation available for telemetry and ER if floating
• Manage various drips including cardizem, propofol, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutamine, fentanyl, and versed
• Care for ventilated patients in ICU setting
• Handle common diagnoses including sepsis, CHF, COPD, post-catheterization patients, and spinal surgery patients
• Cannot take assignments involving open heart or balloon pump patients
• Work with independent physicians (no hospitalist or intensivist in-house)
• Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips
• BSN not required
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
