Opportunity:

CT Technologist - CT Tech X-ray

Job Details:

• Work 3-12 hour night shifts Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week for 13-week assignment
• Multi-modality position requiring both CT and X-ray experience
• Experience with Canon or Toshiba equipment required
• Work with Siemens CT and X-ray equipment, plus Siemens X-cite in ED
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• CT certification preferred but strong experience will be considered
• Required certifications: ARRT, BLS, and ARRT (CT) verification
• No call responsibilities
• Dress code: black pants and pewter top scrubs (not provided)
• Handle 20-40 scans per shift working in hospital Emergency Department
• Operate CT equipment and accessories, perform daily QC and tube warm-ups
• Apply radiation protection principles and practice ALARA
• Prepare patients for procedures, select appropriate scan protocols, and position patients
• Administer contrast materials and take patient history prior to exams
• Transport patients to and from department
• Follow sterilization procedures and handle hazardous materials safely
• Clean equipment, maintain inventory, and restock supplies
• Assist in X-ray as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and perform physical demands including standing, stooping, pushing, and pulling
• Use MEDITECH charting system
• Completion of Radiologic Technology program required
