Description
Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts
• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4 weeks
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs
• Must have at least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience
• Minimum 2 years ER experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC and ATCN (ENPC not allowed to replace PALS)
• Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion
• Must maintain sterile field during procedures
• Float between 4 facilities: main campus, Westgate, and two free-standing ERs in Litchfield Park and Glendale
• Facilities are approximately 30 minutes apart and can be floated mid-shift
• Must have own vehicle for travel between locations
• 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Use Cerner EMR system and Phillips monitors
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Work with 36 acute beds and 54 subacute beds
• Handle approximately 250-300 patients per day
• Navy scrubs required
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
• 2-3 shifts floor-specific orientation
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

The facility maintains 24/7 pharmacy and respiratory therapy services, with pharmacists available in the ER for 10 hours daily. The organization operates multiple locations including a main campus, satellite facility, and two free-standing emergency rooms, providing extensive emergency medical services throughout the region.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
