Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:4-5, occasionally 5-6 on nights, PCU level care overflow 1:3
• Must have PCU experience and be able to read cardiac strips independently
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and low dose Dopamine
• Floating requirements to all areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load, medical-surgical for full patient assignment, and some ER holds/boarding
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Two 12-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation (Friday and Saturday of first week)
• Work with adult and geriatric patients including cardiac catheterization, EP studies, pacers, ETOH, Covid BiPAP, general surgical with heart history, pneumonia, acute on chronic conditions, influenza, and sepsis
• Use Epic charting system
• Work with equipment including BiPAP, trachs, airvo, and telemetry monitors
• 50-mile radius rule applies
• Profile review and manager interview required
• BSN not required
Facility:
This healthcare facility operates a 32-bed progressive care unit focusing on telemetry and cardiac care. The facility maintains a trauma level 2 designation and provides comprehensive cardiac services including catheterization procedures, electrophysiology studies, and pacemaker insertions. The unit features modern telemetry monitoring equipment with dedicated monitor technicians and maintains appropriate staffing ratios with charge nurses and patient care technicians to support quality patient care.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
