Opportunity:
RN - PCU Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating shifts will not occur more than weekly
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:4-5, occasionally 5-6 on nights, 1:3 for PCU overflow
• Must have PCU experience and ability to read cardiac strips
• Required to titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, and low dose Dopamine
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions, post-cardiac procedures, and medical patients with cardiac history
• Float to all areas as helping hands, PCU for full patient load, medical/surgical for full assignment, and some ER holds
• Work with equipment including BiPap, trachs, and airvo
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Any color scrubs permitted
• 2 twelve-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation
• Use EPIC charting system
• Work independently reading and interpreting cardiac strips
• 48-hour scheduling commitment

The unit features modern telemetry equipment with portable monitors, in-room monitoring systems, and dedicated telemetry technicians at the nursing station. The facility maintains comprehensive support services including respiratory therapy and patient care technicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
