RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with day shift 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM and night shift 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Manager creates schedule with every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday or as needed based on unit needs
• Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• 1:1 nurse to patient ratio in 18-bed unit
• Must have 1 year of experience with CVICU patient population
• Required to titrate drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
• Responsible for reading and interpreting telemetry strips without monitor techs
• Work with respiratory equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow
• Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU
• Care for open heart, complex thoracic and vascular patients
• Support patients stabilized with impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
• Handle complex cases from cath lab, structural heart program, EP lab, ER, and clinic
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Navy blue scrub dress code required
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination
• Driver's license required at submittal to verify 50-mile radius requirement
• Use EPIC charting system
• BSN not required
